Together Time with my 9 year old daughter

We sat in Daddy's oversized recliner for a few minutes tonight and looked through a home decor magazine together. Somehow our conversation turned to modesty and we started to look through the magazine for pictures of people interspersed among photos of furnishings and beautifully decorated tables and windows. We found some people dressed very modestly and a few that could use a little more coverage. Little moments like this are great ways to widen the pathways of communication. She has witnessed the modifications we made to the bridesmaids dresses and enjoyed her dress very much. It's a positive start to her pre-teen years!
